PROGRAM:

Departure from the places of origin. Arrival in Caldas da Rainha . During the morning, guided walking tour of the Bordaliana Route with a specialized local guide, to see the famous giant-sized pieces and hear stories from the artist's life. This route includes the famous Zé Povinho, the Saloia, the Padre Cura, frogs, cats, lizards, snails, cabbage leaves, among other characteristic elements of Bordaliana's aesthetic, which have been scattered throughout the city streets, on building facades and even hung from trees!

Next, there's time to enjoy the gardens of Parque D. Carlos I , a romantic garden conceived as a center for physical rehabilitation, given its proximity to the thermal hospital, later converted into a leisure area.

In the afternoon, visit the Ceramics Museum , located in the former Quinta Visconde de Sacavém, inside a late-Romantic mansion that houses the permanent exhibition, the temporary exhibition room, the shop, the pottery workshop, and the documentation center . Continue to the José Malhoa Museum , which presents collections of painting, sculpture, and ceramics from the 19th and 20th centuries by artists such as Maria Helena Vieira da Silva, Columbano, Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro, Delfim Maya, and many others. Within its walls, it is possible to admire the largest collection of works by José Malhoa, an artist born in Caldas da Rainha. At the end of the afternoon, visit the Bordallo Pinheiro Factory Shop .
