Always wanted to get to know Coimbra better but never had the opportunity? Come with us and enjoy an in-depth tour of the city with a certified local guide. The city of Coimbra has a rich cultural heritage. On this 2-day cultural tour, we will have the opportunity to visit some of this heritage, knowing that Coimbra is a city you should always return to. Entrance fees to the mentioned sites are all included in the final price.

Day 1

Arrival in Coimbra around 10:00 AM.

Visit to the University Building, including the Hall of Caps, the hall of the University's Great Acts. Following this, the magnificent Chapel of St. Michael and the Joanine Library.

We will begin our descent towards the city center, with a visit to the Old Cathedral.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

After our lunch, it's time to visit the Machado de Castro National Museum, where you can learn about the city's history in detail.

We will then descend to the city's main street, passing the famous Quebra Costas street, the Almedina arch, and Tricana, a monument to Coimbra's fado music. Following this, we will visit the Church of Santiago and the Monastery of Santa Cruz, an important religious and cultural center from the Middle Ages in Coimbra.

In the late afternoon, free time.

Day 2

The second day begins with a visit to the Santa Clara a Nova Monastery, followed by a visit to the Santa Clara a Velha Monastery.

Next, a visit to Quinta das Lágrimas, known for being the setting of the love affair between King Pedro and Inês de Castro.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

We will cross the pedestrian bridge of Dom Pedro and Dona Inês on foot.

Finally, a boat trip on the "Basófias" will allow us to relax and enjoy wonderful views of the city from the Mondego River.

Price: 295 euros (per person in a double room). For a single room, add 40 euros.
