The Love of Pedro and Inês

Itinerary: Coimbra | Montemor-o-Velho | Alcobaça

The "Love of Pedro and Inês" itinerary offers a 2-day immersion into the tragic and legendary story of one of Portugal's most celebrated loves. Starting in Coimbra, where we visit the Convent of Santa Clara-a-Velha, we cross the Pedro and Inês bridge and stroll through the romantic Quinta das Lágrimas, the setting for the couple's secret meetings. The day also includes a literary walk through the city and a dinner with Coimbra fado music, followed by readings of texts by Camões and António Ferreira. On the second day, we visit the Castle of Montemor-o-Velho, before concluding the tour at the imposing Alcobaça Monastery, where the tombs of Pedro and Inês immortalize the love that defied time.
