PROGRAM:
Day 1: Porto
Time to appreciate the stunning Douro River estuary. Guided tour of the Stock Exchange Palace. Lunch at Ribeira Quay and walk across the Dom Luís I Bridge. Visit to a Port wine cellar with wine tasting. Six Bridges cruise.
Day 2: Peneda-Gerês National Park
Full-day minibus tour through the Albergaria Forest, the village of Soajo and Lindoso. Stop in the village of Gerês to explore the thermal gardens. Passing by the Caniçada reservoir.
Day 3: Douro Wine Region
Scenic drive to the Douro wine region. 1-hour cruise from Pinhão to Romaneira. Drive along the EN222 to Peso da Régua. Visit to one of the most emblematic Douro wine estates and wine tasting.
Day 4: Douro International | Lagos do Sabor
Douro River Cliffs Cruise lasting 1 hour. Ascent to the Santo Antão da Barca viewpoint and visit to the chapel. Visit to the Basilica of Torre de Moncorvo and tasting of sugared almonds.
Day 5: Serra da Estrela
Visit to the historic village of Belmonte. Panoramic drive through the Serra da Estrela mountain range, with stops in Seia, Manteigas, and the glacial valley of Covão d'Ametade. Free time at Torre, the highest point in mainland Portugal.
Day 6: Sintra | Cascais | Lisbon
Panoramic tour of the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. Discovery of the historic center of Sintra. Stop at Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of Europe. Walking tour in Cascais. Free time in Cascais Bay. Belém. Terreiro do Paço. Accommodation in Lisbon.
Day 7: Southwest Alentejo
A tour exploring Porto Covo, Ilha do Pessegueiro, and Praia da Samoqueira. A riverside stroll in Vila Nova de Milfontes. A visit to the town of Aljezur. Discovering the wonderful beaches of the Southwest Alentejo Natural Park: Arrifana and Odeceixe. Time for walking and relaxing on the sand.
Day 8: Sagres | Lagos | Ponta da Piedade
Panoramic tour to Cape Sagres and Cape St. Vincent. Discovery of the city of Lagos: beaches and historical area. Boat trip to the Ponta da Piedade Caves.
Day 9: Algarve Coast
Visit the city of Olhão and its charming market. Boat trip through the Ria Formosa Natural Park with a stop at Culatra Island. Discovery walk in Tavira, highlighting the Roman bridge and the castle. In Cacela Velha, climb up to the church to appreciate the views over the Ria Formosa.
Day 10: Guadiana Valley
Guided tour of the Alentejo villages of the Guadiana Valley: Alcoutim, Castro Marim and its salt marshes, Mértola and Serpa. Stop at Foz de Odeleite.
Lisbon
Day 11: Alentejo Woodlands
Guided tour of Reguengos de Monsaraz Castle. Boat trip on the Alqueva Lake. Free visit to the city of Évora.
Day 12: Lisbon
Free Day in Lisbon.
