Day 1: León
Morning: Departure from the starting points to León . Lunch en route.
Afternoon: Discover León, a city that became one of the political pillars of the Reconquista. A stroll through the historic center includes a visit to the Plaza Mayor and the imposing Cathedral of León , a symbol of the spiritual authority that legitimized the Leonese kings. This is followed by a visit to the Basilica of San Isidoro , where the Pantheon of the Kings reveals the construction of a dynastic memory essential to the advancement of the kingdom.
It will include: Dinner and accommodation at the 4-star Eurostars Hotel in León.
Day 2: Monte Naranco | Oviedo
Morning: Start at Monte Naranco , from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view over Oviedo and visit two jewels of Oviedo's pre-Romanesque art: Santa María del Naranco and San Miguel de Lillo , classified as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Visit the Interpretive Center of Pre-Romanesque Art. The descent to the city leads to the church of San Julián de los Prados , one of the largest pre-Romanesque temples on the Peninsula. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Afternoon: A stroll through the historic center of Oviedo, including the Cathedral of San Salvador and its Holy Chamber, continues through Plaza and Mercado del Fontán , the heart of local life, and on to Plaza de la Constitución. Along the way, highlights include the Museum of Fine Arts of Asturias and San Francisco Park. The tour ends on Calle Gascona, ideal for sampling Asturian cider.

Day 3: Cangas de Onís | Covadonga| Cabrales Arenas | Poncebos
Morning: The morning begins in Cangas de Onís , the first Asturian capital, followed by a trip to Covadonga, where the founding myth of the Reconquista takes shape in the Basilica and the Holy Cave. The ascent to the Picos de Europa Lakes allows one to understand the mountain as a strategic refuge for the first kings. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Afternoon: After lunch, the afternoon continues in Arenas de Cabrales, a mountain village linked to pastoral tradition and the emblematic Cabrales cheese, a living expression of the medieval economy. The route ends in Poncebos , gateway to deep gorges and valleys, where the landscape reveals the harshness and strength of the territory that sustained the nascent kingdom.

Day 4: Zamora
Morning: Early departure from Oviedo. Lunch in the historic center of Zamora , a fortified city built on the Douro River. After the meal, a short walk through the historic center, starting with the Cathedral and the Castle , testaments to the defensive function of the medieval city. The walk ends between two emblematic Romanesque churches — La Magdalena and Santiago el Burgo — and in the central squares, where historical memory intersects with contemporary life.
Afternoon: Return to the starting points.

To be able to keep up with a group at an average walking pace on sometimes uneven terrain and occasional stairs.
Being able to follow a moderate-paced program, which may involve getting up early for several days and only arriving at the hotel at the end of the day to have dinner and rest.
Feel comfortable following a guide and respecting all instructions given.
Tolerate some temperature changes and unstable weather.
