PROGRAM:


Day 1: Porto

Morning: The first day starts with a walking tour of the historic center of Porto, one of the oldest urban centers in Europe, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The visit begins with the impressive Clérigos Tower, a masterpiece of Baroque architecture, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the city. The route continues along Avenida dos Aliados, the beating heart of Porto, to the iconic São Bento Train Station, famous for its tiles depicting historical moments of Portugal. Here, you can appreciate the blend of modern and traditional elements. The tour proceeds with a guided visit to the Palácio da Bolsa, one of Porto’s most important buildings, where the majestic Arabian Hall stands out. This palace, a true symbol of power and wealth, offers a journey back to the city’s and the country's past. The walk continues along the Cais da Ribeira, a picturesque district where narrow streets and colorful riverside houses evoke a unique atmosphere. Next, enjoy a visit to a Port Wine cellar, with a tasting of the world-famous Port wines.

Afternoon: After a traditional lunch, take a cruise along the 6 Bridges of the Douro River, offering breathtaking views of the bridges that connect Porto to Vila Nova de Gaia, followed by a walk in Vila Nova de Gaia, where you can enjoy views of Porto. Afterward, there will be free time in the historic area of Porto, with the option to visit the Porto Cathedral, stroll along the upper platform of the Dom Luís Bridge, or explore the city's commercial streets.

Evening: Dinner and overnight at a hotel.

 

Day 2: Aveleda | Monção

Morning: This day begins with a visit to the Gardens of Quinta da Aveleda, one of the most iconic estates in the Vinho Verde region of Minho. This space, full of natural beauty, is the perfect synthesis of the relationship between nature and winemaking. The splendor of the gardens and the symmetry of its buildings provide a unique experience. The visit to the estate includes a wine tasting, where you can appreciate the freshness and quality of the Vinho Verde, a hallmark of the region.

Afternoon: The journey continues to Monção, a city renowned for its winemaking tradition. Here, visit the Palácio da Brejoeira, one of the most beautiful buildings in northern Portugal, where the history of wine production merges with classical architecture. After visiting the palace, enjoy a tasting of wines from the estate, allowing you to savor the excellent Alvarinho, a typical wine of the region.

Evening: Dinner and overnight at a hotel.

 

Day 3: Douro

Morning: The exploration of the Douro Valley begins with a scenic drive to Pinhão, along the famous EN222 road, one of the most beautiful roads in the world. The stunning views of endless vineyards and the Douro River in the background make this journey unforgettable. In Pinhão, take a 1-hour cruise on the Douro River, from Pinhão to Romaneira, where you can admire the grandeur of the terraced vineyards on the slopes.

Afternoon: The afternoon is dedicated to visiting one of the most traditional and iconic Port wine estates, where visitors are guided through the winemaking process. Tasting the wines is a true immersion in the flavors and aromas of the Douro region, considered one of the greatest wine treasures in the world.

Evening: Dinner and overnight at a hotel.

 

Day 4: Dão

Morning: The day begins with the discovery of Viseu, considered one of the largest historical centers in Portugal, where the Cathedral of Viseu stands out as a key example of Romanesque architecture. The historic center reveals traces of a rich past, with charming alleys and squares. A visit to the Grão Vasco Museum provides an immersion in the city's art and history, with a vast collection of paintings and artifacts.

Afternoon: The afternoon is dedicated to visiting the Palácio dos Condes de Anadia in Mangualde, a historical building offering a guided tour of its rooms, followed by a wine tasting of wines produced in the Dão region. The property, of great architectural beauty, offers a view of the local winemaking landscape, providing an in-depth understanding of production methods and the region’s wealth.

Evening: Dinner and overnight at a hotel.

 

Day 5: Bairrada | Coimbra

Morning: The visit begins at the Aliança Underground Museum, an impressive wine cellar located deep underground, where visitors have the opportunity to learn the history and secrets of the Bairrada region and the production of wines and sparkling wines. After the visit, enjoy a tasting of wines and sparkling wines, taking you on a journey through the region’s flavors and aromas.

Afternoon: The afternoon is dedicated to discovering Coimbra, a UNESCO World Heritage city. The tour includes a visit to the University of Coimbra, one of the oldest in Europe, and the Sé Cathedral, which exemplifies the city’s historical and architectural richness. The Monastery of Santa Cruz, with its Renaissance cloister, completes the tour of the city.

Evening: A wine dinner, accompanied by the melodies of Fado from Coimbra, provides the perfect conclusion to the day, offering an immersive and sensory cultural experience. Dinner and overnight at a hotel.

 

Day 6: Óbidos | Lisbon

Morning: The day begins with the discovery of the medieval village of Óbidos, where medieval walls, cobbled streets, and white houses create a charming setting. The visit is complemented by a tasting of the famous Ginjinha of Óbidos, served in a chocolate cup, a true delight for the senses.

Afternoon: After lunch in Lisbon, in the traditional Alfama neighborhood, take a walking tour of the historic center of the capital. The visit includes the imposing São Jorge Castle, offering panoramic views of the city, the Terreiro do Paço, the historical heart of Lisbon, and the Chiado and Bairro Alto neighborhoods, known for their vibrant atmosphere and rich history.

Evening: Dinner and overnight at a hotel.

 

Day 7: Setúbal

Morning: The Setúbal wine region is explored with a visit to the Palácio and Gardens of Bacalhôa, a former Renaissance palace now converted into a wine production center. The beautiful gardens invite a leisurely stroll, while the wine tasting allows exploration of the region's wine specialties.

Afternoon: The day continues with a tasting of the traditional tortas de Azeitão, a regional delicacy, before heading for a panoramic tour of the Serra da Arrábida, where the stunning views of the sea and Setúbal’s beaches make the experience even more memorable.

Evening: Dinner and overnight at a hotel.

 

Day 8: Évora

Morning: The final day of the trip takes visitors to the Alentejo region, renowned for its prestigious wines, with a visit to the city of Évora. Known for its historical monuments, such as the Sé Cathedral and the Roman Temple, Évora’s landmarks attest to its importance throughout the centuries.

Afternoon: After a traditional lunch, the visit to Herdade do Esporão, one of the most renowned wineries in Alentejo, provides an immersion into the region’s winemaking. The visit is complemented by a wine tasting, offering a chance to savor the finest wines from Alentejo. Return to Lisbon for dinner and overnight at a hotel.
