Itinerary: Bragança | Constantim | Macedo de Cavaleiros | Podence | Rio d'Onor | Varge | Aveleda | Vinhais
DAY 1 – CITIES OF ORIGIN | BRAGANÇA
Departure for Bragança with lunch on your own during the tour. Guided tour of Bragança.
2ND DAY – BRAGANÇA | CONSTANTIM | BRAGANCE
Departure towards the village of Constantim. Time to attend the festivities dedicated to the “Boys' Festival” – a tradition of pagan origin, dedicated to boys seeking their emancipation, engaging in original and unique rituals of this region. They visit all the houses in the village and “steal” sausages to feed the population. At the end of the day, they join the festival stewards, musicians and Pauliteiros who dance a “Lhaço” (melodies and choreographies). Lunch in the village. Between festivities, opportunity to visit various points of interest in this village. Return to Bragança. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 3 – BRAGANÇA | MACEDO DE CAVALEIROS | PODENCE | BRAGANÇA
Departure for Macedo de Cavaleiros, visit to this town. Lunch at a restaurant. We continue to Podence, home of the "Entrudo Chocalheiro" (Carnival of the Bells), to visit the Casa do Careto (House of the Masked One). We then proceed to a craft workshop and finish the visit in the historic center. Return. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 4 – BRAGANÇA | RIO DE ONOR | VARGE | AVELEDA | BRAGANÇA
Departure for Rio de Onor. Guided tour by a villager, passing by the Roman Bridge, the Parish Church, the communal oven, the forge, and the communal mills. Participation in a bagpipe-making workshop. Short guided walk with photographer António Sá. Tour of the wine cellars. Lunch at a restaurant. Visit to the villages of Varge and Aveleda, with the possibility of participating in various workshops. Return to Bragança. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 5 – BRAGANÇA | VILA RUIVA (New Year's Eve)
Visit to the historic center of Bragança, passing by the most emblematic points, such as the Castle, the Church of Santa Maria and the New Cathedral. Lunch at a restaurant. We continue to Vila Ruiva, where the special New Year's Eve dinner will take place at the INATEL unit with entertainment. Accommodation.
DAY 6 – VILA RUIVA | TRANCOSO | VILA RUIVA
Free morning. We suggest a walk through the small village of Vila Ruiva. Lunch. Visit to Trancoso, a walled town where the medieval atmosphere is preserved. It was the scene of numerous battles and struggles that were significant for the formation and independence of Portugal. Land of artists, such as: Eduarda Lapa, known for her role as Bandarra, and Gonçalo Anes, poet, prophet and shoemaker born in the 16th century. Return to Vila Ruiva. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 7 – VILA RUIVA | CITIES OF ORIGIN
Return with lunch on your own during the tour.

To participate in this itinerary, you must:
Feel comfortable with several days of visits and an itinerary that alternates between bus journeys and short walks at the sites visited.
To be able to keep up with a group at an average walking pace on sometimes uneven terrain and occasional stairs.
Being able to follow a moderate-paced program, which may involve getting up early for several days and only arriving at the hotel at the end of the day to have dinner and rest.
Feel comfortable following a guide and respecting all instructions given.
Tolerate some temperature changes and unstable weather.
ACCOMMODATION:
Accommodation planned in a 4* hotel.
If, for reasons beyond our control, accommodation at the indicated hotel is not possible, the alternative accommodation will always be of a similar category, although the services offered by each hotel may vary.
