Day 1: Freixo de Numão | Vila Nova de Foz Côa
Morning: Bus journey to the Côa Valley. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Afternoon: Guided tour of the village of Freixo de Numão and the Museu da Casa Grande, showcasing collections of archaeology, ethnography, and local history. Next, an archaeological circuit, including the Ruins of Prazo and Castelo Velho, with remnants from the Chalcolithic and Bronze Ages. Free time to explore the historic center of Vila Nova de Foz Côa.
Evening: Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel, for a restful night after a day of cultural and historical discoveries.
Day 2: Côa Museum | Penascosa Route
Morning: Guided tour of the Côa Museum, with a local technical guide, exploring exhibits on rock art and the history of the Côa Valley, highlighting prehistoric engravings. Lunch at the museum, enjoying regional typical dishes in a cultural setting.
Afternoon: Visit to the Penascosa Rock Art Center, departing from Castelo Melhor by jeep to observe the Rock Engravings of the Côa Valley, dated between 25,000 and 10,000 years ago, created by the Paleolithic people.
Evening: Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel.
Day 3: Fariseu Site
Morning: Guided visit to the Fariseu Archaeological Site, beginning with a 4 km route by eco-solar boat along the Côa River, allowing the observation of rock art, local landscape, and flora and fauna.
